The viewing/service for Sandra Russell will be held at Terpening & Son Mortuary on February 10, 2022 from 2PM to 6PM. Burial will take place on February 11 at Woodbine Cemetery at 1:15PM.
Mrs. Russell, 62, gained her wings on January 24, 2022, in El Paso, TX.
Sandra was born on May 25, 1959, in Fort Stockton, TX to Antonio M. Salazar and Mary E. Prieto Salazar. Sandra married Raymond Russell on June 2, 1997, in Roswell, New Mexico. She was a lifelong resident of Jal, NM before she moved to Artesia, NM a couple of years ago. Sandra was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She enjoyed and loved all things in life, but nothing compared to her children, fur baby, grandchildren, chickens, ducks, and turtle. Sandra was a home maker, whose hobbies were putting puzzles together, playing games on her phone, and watching all her birds play in the yard. She was a wonderful woman that every stranger who had the pleasure to meet her, had an instant connection.
Mrs. Russell will be dearly loved & missed by her husband, Raymond Russell. Her fur baby, Ginger. Her sons Tommy Salazar, wife Sheri of Oklahoma, Monty Russell, wife Kristi of Artesia, NM and Joe Russell, girlfriend Jala of Carlsbad, NM. Daughters Shauna Conway, wife Tamra of Artesia, NM, Amanda Fisher, husband Clint & Jessica Morales of Texas. Her grand children Austin Salazar, wife Sydney, Kristen Salazar, and Izaiah Salazar of Oklahoma. Jonathan Snow, girlfriend Lucia, Nevaeh Snow, Zakary Conway, Justice, Jennifer, Amber, Heaven, Hailey, Maddi, Cassi, Alyssa, Stephen, Le Christa, Katie, and David Russell, Ashton and Conner Fisher, Britney and Alex Morales, Austyn, Lyndzee, and KayKay Kelton. Her great grandchildren Brilea and Haizlee Salazar, Jeremiah "Mungo" Snow, and Christopher Russell. Her brothers Joe Abeyta, wife Linda and Michael Salazar, wife Joni both of Jal, NM. Her sisters Rosie Boen of Jal, NM, Cynthia Lacy, husband David of Oklahoma, Abby Lopez of Kermit, TX, Sara Marquez, husband Rene of Hobbs, NM, and sister-in-law Charlie Salazar of Jal, NM. She will also be loved and missed by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She has joined heaven to be with her mother and father, along with her brothers Ricky Abeyta and Johnny Salazar, her sister Benita Abeyta, her nephews Nick Abeyta and Andrew Lopez. Also, her good friend who she saw as one of her own, Angel Kelton.
