Services are scheduled at 9:30 a.m. Monday, September 9, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Sabina Espinoza Salinas of Artesia, New Mexico.
Mrs. Salinas, 90, died Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at her home.
Fr. Paul Murtagh, SS.CC. will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Arturo Salinas, Jr., Lorenzo Salinas, Jr., Jesus A. Salinas, MarioSalinas, Jose Manuel Salinas, and Daniel Salinas.
Visitation will be at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church Sunday beginning at 3:00 p.m. A rosary will be at Our Lady of Grace Sunday at 6:30 p.m.
Sabina was born September 21, 1922 in Roswell, New Mexico the daughter of Santiago Espinoza and Acencion Arevale Espinoza.
On April 5, 1945 she was married to Jesus Salinas in El Nogal, Chihuahua. They came to Artesia in 1975 from Mexico. He preceded her in death July 17, 1994. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a sister, and two brothers.
Sabina was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, crochetting, and gardening .
Survivors include her daughter Martha Salazar and husband Guadalupe of Artesia sons Manuel Salinas and wife Lucy, Javier Salinas and wife Della, Arturo Salinas, and Antonio Salinas all of Artesia, Lorenzo Salinas and wife Aurora of Pecos, Texas, E. Arturo Salinas and wife Mahira of Midland, Texas, Ramon Salinas and wife Rebecca of Midland, and Marcos Salazar of Artesia 30 grandchildren 35 greatgrandchildren 14 greatgreatgrandchildren stepdaughters Anjelica Franco and husband Vivian, and Guadalupe Romo both of Jal, N.M. and numerous nieces and nephews.
