Ruth Jones

No services are scheduled for Ruth A. Jones, Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Jones, 97, died Monday, February 6, 2006 at Artesia Good Samaritan Center. Cremation is under the direction of Terpening Son Mortuary. Mrs. Jones was born January 16, 1909 in Kenosha, Wisconsin. On September 4, 1947 she was married to Kenneth R. Jones in Kenosha. She came from Wisconsin to Artesia in 1956. He preceded her in death Nov. 8, 1968. She was also preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; and by grand-daughters Jo Smith and Shannon Smith. She was a retired file clerk for Artesia General Hospital; a member of the Methodist denomination; the American Legion Auxiliary; and the V.F.W. Auxiliary. Survivors include her son Norman Smith and his wife Sylvia of Artesia; a sister Betty Anderson of Kenosha; grandchildren Jamie Byers and Juhre Smith both of Artesia; and great-grandchildren Dylan Byers and Taylor Byers both of Artesia.
