Rudolph Pittman

Services are scheduled at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 21, at Terpening Son Chapel for former Artesia resident Rudolph Rudy Pittman, 333 W. Brasher Rd., Roswell, New Mexico. Mr. Pittman, 76, died Wednesday, October 18, 2006 in Lovington, New Mexico. Donald Price will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Sam Pittman, Jordan King, Jerry Wyatt, Michael Kraft, Michael Aguilar, and James Wilhelm. Mr. Pittman was born September 12, 1930 in Graham, Texas; the son of Alexander Pittman and Eunice Pickett Pittman. On Sept. 17, 1955 he was married to Verna Compton in Odessa, Texas. He came to Artesia in 1963 from Farmington, NM. He served in the United States Army during Korea. He was a Field Supervisor for Halliburton and member of member Trinity Temple Assembly of God, attended WayMaker Church in Roswell, and was also a member of the D.A.V. He was preceded in death by his parents and by a sister Judy Barns. Survivors include his wife Verna Pittman of the family home; sons Kenneth Pittman and wife Judy of Roswell, and Kevin Pittman and wife Nan of Brownfield, Texas; sister Merle Graves of Swartz, Louisiana; great-aunt Byrona Martin of Midlothia, Texas; 7 grandchildren Laurie Aguilar and husband Michael of Roswell, Samuel Pittman, McKaylee Pittman, Satchel Pittman all of Roswell and Erin Pittman, Allee Pittman, and Kelsey Pittman all of Brownfield; and great-granddaughter Madison Aguilar of Roswell.
