Ruby Nolley

Memorial services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 14, at Bethel Baptist Church for Ruby Jean Nolley of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Nolley, 69, died Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Heartland Nursing Center in Artesia.

Rev. Thomas Ford will officiate at the services. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening Son Morturay.

Ruby was born July 19, 1943 in Batesville, Mississippi the daughter of Lewis Cox and Ada Ruth Connan Cox. She was one of twelve children.

On February 7, 1975 she was married to James C. Nolley in Portales, N.M. They came to Artesia in 1982 from Kermit, Texas. He preceded her in death on August 2, 1989. She was also preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers and 1 sister.

Ruby was a C.N.A. for at the Artesia Good Samaritan Nursing Home and Artesia General Hospital. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, and a volunteer at Heartland Nursing Center. She also loved to walk and work in her yard work.

Survivors include her daughters Jackie Oliver of Artesia, Catherine Olguin of Artesia, and Kimberly Fierro of Artesia sons David Oliver of Artesia, and Dwayne Oliver of Artesia 5 brothers and 2 sisters 11 grandchildren and 5 greatgrandchildren.
