Ruby Garcia

Memorial Services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 22, at First Christian Church for Ruby Salazar Garcia of Artesia.

Mrs. Garcia, 53, beloved Wife and Mother, was called to her eternal resting place on July 15, 2016.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening & Son Mortuary.

Ruby entered this world on April 25, 1963 in San Francisco, CA, born to William R. Geis III and Donna (McGregor) Geis. She came to Artesia in 1982. On August 2, 2003 she married Jerry Garcia in Espanola.

Ruby was a Beautician and Massage Therapist. She taught Massage Therapy and enjoyed gardening, traveling, drawing, ceramics, reading and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her father William R. Geis III, her step-father Ross Salazar and brother Rosendo Salazar.

She is survived by her husband Jerry Garcia of Artesia; mother Donna Salazar; daughters Natasha Zamarron and husband Daniel, Sarah Garcia and Savannah Garcia all of Artesia; sisters Farro Salazar Miranda of Fremont, CA, Socorro Salazar of Espanola, and Isolde Geis of Santa Rosa, CA; brother Lucas Geis of Santa Rosa; grandchildren Adrian Zamarron, Aubriana Zamarron , Anthony Zamarron, Devin Aguirre, Aries Aguirre, Bella Aguirre and Ezra Aguirre.
