Ruby Ford

Graveside services are scheduled at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 18 at Woodbine Cemetery for Ruby Jewel Ford, 920 S. 6th St., Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Ford, 85, died Friday, June 14, 2002 at La Posada Hospice in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Rev. Paul Dean Duerksen will officiate at the services. Mrs. Ford was born November 1, 1916 in Oklahoma; the daughter of Walter Ford and Clara Gillespie Ford. She came from Oklahoma to Artesia in 1948. She was a longtime Elementary School Teacher at Atoka, N.M. and Hermosa Elementary in Artesia. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Association of Retired Teachers. She was preceded in death by her parents; and by her sister Oleta Ford Bullock and by her brother Herman Ford. Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
