Ruben Valenzuela, Jr.

A funeral mass is scheduled for Saturday March 16th at 9:30am, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Ruben Valenzuela Jr.. A rosary will be recited at Our Lady of Grace on Friday, March 15th at 6:30pm.

Pallbearers will be his nephews Richard Ray Cardenas, Benny Guzman III, Justin Guzman, Terrence Baker, Emilio Fernandez and Marquis Banks.

Ruben 49 passed away Tuesday March 12th, 2013. He was born July 12, 1963 in Artesia, NM, the son of Ruben and Amelia Valenzuela. He followed his dads footsteps as an electrician at Rubens Electric Shop learning the electrical trade very early in life. His hobbies included fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his sisters Corinne Guzman and husband Benny of Artesia, Sylvia Baker of Albuquerque, Teri Cardenas and husband Richard of Carlsbad and Missy Fernandez and husband Gilbert of Artesia. His nieces and nephews Benny Guzman III, Justin Guzman, Angela Baca, Jacinda Baker, Terrence Baker, Richard Ray Cardenas, Amy Gomez, Emilio Fernandez and Mana Fernandez 12 great nieces and nephews and a close family friend Mary Lou Sanchez.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ruben and Amelia Valenzuela.
