Royce Earl

Services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 16, at Bethel Baptist Church for Royce Lenard Earl of N. 10th Street, Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Earl, 65, died Sunday, September 10, 2006 in Lubbock, Texas. Rev. Thomas Ford will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Roosevelt Spillman, Johnny Norris, Clarence Sentell, Sr., Raymond Colter, Levi Colter, and Ralph Rodriguez. Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary Friday beginning at 10:00 a.m. Mr. Earl was born August 30, 1941 in Timpson, Texas; the son of Thomas Jennings Earl and Marian Bussey Earl. He was a longtime Artesia resident. He was a janitor and member of Bethel Baptist Church. Survivors include sons Cedric L. Earl and wife LaShaunda of Reklaw, Texas, and Rodney L. Earl of Artesia; daughter Angela Mills and husband Rodney of San Antonio, Texas; step-father James Gray of Timpson, Texas; brothers Alvin R. Earl and wife Margie of Houston, Texas, Jennings A. Earl and wife Antoinette of Houston, Arthur S. Earl and wife Jennifer of Houston, Artis J. Earl and wife Sue of Ft. Worth, Texas, and John W. Earl and wife Faye of Center, Texas; step-brother Ernest J. Mims Gray and wife Ethel of Ft. Worth; sisters Alma R. Nary and husband Willis of Midland, Texas, and Delores L. Earl of Houston; 8 grandchildren Cedric Jr., Laroya, Denise, Quaisha, and Louis all of Reklaw, and Dante, Andre and BreAnna all of San Antonio; aunt Alma Rie Kellum of Houston.
