Roxanne Readel

Memorial Services are scheduled at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 2, at First Christian Church for Roxanne Mae Readel of Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Readel, 52, died Friday, February 24, 2006 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. Rev. Gerald Harper will officiate at the services. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening Son Mortuary. Mrs. Readel was born October 8, 1953 in Alameda, California; the daughter of Robert Belshaw and Donna McClure Belshaw. On Nov. 9, 1985 she was married to Harry Readel in El Paso, Texas. She came to Artesia in 2000 from Tucumcari, N.M. She was a Substitue Teacher with the Artesia Public Schools. She received her Bachelors Degree in Vocational Home Economics from Purdue University. She was a member of First Christian Church, C.W.F., Red Hats, CowBelles, Extension Club, and was a Relay for Life Volunteer. Preceded in death by her father. Survivors include her husband Harry Readel of the family home; mother Donna Belshaw of Tucson, Arizona; brother Michael Maurice Belshaw and wife Deborah of Portland, Oregon; sister-in-law Phyllis Readel of Carlsbad, N.M.; nephew Keith Belshaw of Portland.
