Rose Grado

Rose C. Grado age 72 passed away peacefully on July 22nd, 2022. Rose was born on September 11th, 1949 in Artesia, NM to the parents of George Chavarria & Lupe Peña. Later on she met the love of her life Jesus M. Grado from Lake Arthur, NM. For many years she worked at Artesia Daily Press delivering our local newspaper. On her spare time she enjoyed gardening, loved dancing, ceramics, cooking for her family and especially spending time with her kids/grandchildren.

She is survived by her two sisters, her children Mary Jane Grado and spouse Nick DeLaRosa, Jesse Grado Jr, Jessica Grado, Eric Grado, Christopher Grado and Monica Grado and spouse Angel Fierro Jr. all of Artesia NM; and many grandchildren/great grandchildren.

She was proceeded in death by her husband Jesus M. Grado, Brother; Georgie Chavarria, Brother, Zeke Chavarria, Sister; Dora Urias and parents and great granddaughter Nevaeh Cazares.

Rose was the best mom to her kids and especially loved being a grandma to her grandkids. She had the biggest smile when she saw her family. We are going to miss her tremendously.

Viewing will be Sunday July 31, 2022 from 3-6 at Terpening and Son Mortuary and funeral Monday August 1st, 2022 at 9:30 rosary & mass at Our Lady of Grace with burial to follow at the Lake Arthur Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her granddaughter's Ana Lisa Grado, Marissa Grado, Alyssa Grado, Jenacee Fierro, Jackie Grado, Ashley Paz, McKenzie Grado, Mckayla Grado, and Taylor Grado; grandson's Sergio Paz, Angel Fierro 3rd, Christopher Grado Jr, Jesse Grado 3rd, Eric Grado Jr, and Ryan Grado
