Rosa McNeil

Services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, August 11th at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Lake Arthur, New Mexico for Rosa E. McNeil of Artesia, New Mexico.

Ms. McNeil, 63, died on July 29, 2023 in Artesia.

A rosary is also scheduled for 9:30 am August 11th at Our Lady of Guadalupe. Burial will follow the services at Lake Arthur Cemetery.

Rosa was born on April 6, 1960 in Artesia; the daughter of Gonzalo Montoya and Patricia Valenzuela Montoya.

She loved teaching and took every opportunity to do so, having worked in both Public and Private schools. She enjoyed doing different arts and crafts, listening to music and dancing. She loved cooking for anyone and everyone at anytime, and always had plenty for anyone that was hungry. Most of all, she loved spending time with all of her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Lupe Baeza. and a brother Javier Montoya.

Survivors include her husband Richard McNeil; her children Chris McNeil and wife Delilah, Tootie McNeil and wife Jennifer; Richard McNeil and wife Mykell, Champagne Baker and husband Joseph, James McNeil, Jacob Montoya, and Nick Montoya and wife Michelle; brothers Gonzalo Montoya, Abel Montoya, and Danny Montoya; sisters Mary Pasillas and Juanita Aguilar; 14 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
