Rosa Esquibel

Services are scheduled at 9:30 a.m. Monday, July 17, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Rosa Perez Esquibel, of Artesia, New Mexico. PMrs. Esquibel, 83, died Thursday, July 13, 2006 at her home. PThe burial will be at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Jerry Flores, Brian Ybarra, Fernando Segura, Adon Esquibel, Peto Esquibel, Jared Esquibel, Peter Paul Lopez, Steven Esquibel, and Roman Esquibel. Honorary pallbearers will be all of the remaining grandsons. PA rosary will be at Our Lady of Grace Sunday beginning at 6:30 p.m. PMrs. Esquibel was born January 10, 1923 in Otis, New Mexico; the daughter of Longino Perez and Jacinta Cantu Perez. POn April 6, 1942 she was married to Manuel G. Esquibel in Artesia. She was a lifelong resident. He preceded her in death Feb. 26, 1994. She was a homemaker and member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, and Apostolado. PShe was also preceded death by her parents; son Manuel Esquibel II; and a daughter Lucita Esquibel.
Survivors include her daughters Mary Flores of Artesia, Andrea Ybarra of Artesia, Margie Segura and husband Santos of Artesia, Luci Ybarra and husband David of Artesia, Erma Lopez of Artesia, Baola Olson and husband Michael of Las Cruces, N.M., Christine Stromme and husband Ralph of Austin, Texas; and Mary Esquibel of Artesia; sons Pete Esquibel of Artesia, Alex Esquibel and wife Lucy of Artesia, Ricky Esquibel and wife Connie of Artesia, and Joe Esquibel and wife Nelda of Arteia, 33 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren; loving nephew Frank Perez and wife Tina of Lubbock, Texas; loving Niece Ramona Martinez of Roswell, N.M.
