Rosa Chavez

Services are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, at Trinity Temple Assembly of God for Rosa Saiz Chavez, 1606 N. Oak Ave., Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Chavez, 61, died Wednesday, November 13, 2013 in Artesia.

Bobby Argo will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery.

Rosa was born February 17, 1952 in Carlsbad, New Mexico the daughter of Ben Saiz and Frances Juarez Saiz. She came to Artesia in 1972 from Carlsbad.

She was married to Luis P. Chavez. He preceded her in death Sept. 7, 2000.

She was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Temple Assembly of God.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings.

Survivors include daughter Dolores Chavez of Artesia son Luis Chavez and Maribel Varelas of Artesia 11 grandchildren brothers Roy Saiz of Artesia, Salvador Saiz of Artesia, Robert Saiz of Carlsbad, Raymundo Saiz of Carlsbad, Ben Saiz of Carlsbad, and Joe Saiz of Carlsbad sisters Lorina Muniz of Odessa, Texas, Maryjane Fuentes of Carlsbad, and Celia Medrano of Carlsbad.
