Ronny A. Samora, Sr. P PServices are scheduled at 2:00 P.M. Friday, April 7, at Terpening amp; Son Mortuary for Ronny A. Samora, Sr., of 406 J.J. Clark Dr., Artesia, New Mexico. P PMr. Samora, 52, died Tuesday, April 4, 2006 at his home in Artesia, New Mexico. P PJim McFarland will officiate the service with burial at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Ronny Samora, Jr., Varian Samora, Michael Sarabia, Daniel Sanchez, Frank Sarabia and Gabriel Samora. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday at Terpening and Son Mortuary. P PMr. Samora was born May 29, 1953 in Artesia, New Mexico; the son of Ajello Samora, Sr. and Elodia Alaniz Samora. P POn October 27, 1975 he was married to Frances Dorado in Carlsbad, New Mexico. P PHe was a lifelong resident of Artesia and a construction laborer. P PHe was preceded in death by his parents; a son Sky Samora; brothers Gilbert Alaniz, A.G. Samora, Jr., and Lawrence Samora; and a sister Katie Dominguez. P
Survivors include his wife Frances Samora of the family home; sons Frank Sarabia and wife Terasa of Carlsbad, Michael Sarabia and wife Lori of Artesia, Daniel Sanchez and wife Valarie of Artesia, Ronny Samora, Jr. and wife Damaris of Albuquerque, N.M., and Varian Samora of Artesia; daughters Gisel Samora of Albuquerque, Michelle Lopez and husband R.J. of Carlsbad, Mary Kay Shipley of Seattle, Wash., and Penny Sarabia of Artesia; brothers David Samora of Albuquerque and Rudy Samora and wife Maria of Montebelo, Calif.; sisters Viola Lopez and husband Gilbert of Ontario, Calif., Ida Ornelas and husband Joe of Artesia, Norah Baca and husband Joe of Artesia, and Janie Samora of Albuquerque; 13 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
