Ronnie Samora

Services are scheduled at 9:30 a.m. Friday, March 13, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Ronnie A. Samora of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Mr. Samora, 51, died Sunday, March 8, 2009 at U.N.M. Hospital in Albuquerque.

Fr. Paul Murtagh SS.CC. will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Caleb Samora, Kenny Samora, Dean Samora, Eric Aranda, Eddie Reza, and Israel Perez. Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Samora, Jaime Aranda, Jubal Samora, Alfred Samora, Jacob Carbajal, DeQwon Samora, Donny Samora, Jason Lopez, and John Samora.

Visitation will be at Terpening amp; Son Mortuary Thursday beginning at 12:00 p.m. A rosary will be at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church Thursday at 6:30 p.m.

Mr. Samora was born February 7, 1958 in Artesia, New Mexico; the son of Clovis Samora and Beatrice Alvarado Samora.

Ronnie was a longtime resident of Artesia before moving to Albuquerque in 2007.

He was a construction worker and a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Francis and C.H. Alvarado, and Alfred and Nieves Samora; and a brother Alfredo Fredo Samora.


Survivors include his parents Clovis and Beatrice Bee Samora of Artesia; sons Kenny Samora of Albuquerque, Caleb Samora and wife Kirstie of Oceanside, California, and Jason Lopez of Artesia; sister Gracie Aranda and husband Jaime of Lake Arthur, N.M.; brothers Donny Samora of Artesia, Dean Samora of Artesia, John Samora of Albuquerque, and Randy Samora of Artesia; step-sisters Gloria and Lisa of California; four grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
