Services are scheduled for 2 pm Friday, May 10, at Terpening & Son Chapel for Robert "Bob" Waugh of Artesia, New Mexico.
Mr. Waugh, 92, went to be with the Lord on May 3, 2024 in Artesia.
Jeff Alston will officiate at the services with burial to follow at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Grandsons: Shane Donaldson, Kienan Beasley, and Cody Waugh, and Nephew Lindy Baker. Honorary pallbearers will be Sherrell Gurley, Richard Shultz, Dean Scovell, Gary West and Eddie Wallace. Visitation will be at Terpening & Son Mortuary from 3 to 6 pm on Thursday.
Bob was born on May 7, 1931 in Unionville, Virginia; the son of Arthur C. Waugh and Laura Virginia Hossley Waugh.
He was an Airman 1st Sergeant in the United States Air Force from July 5, 1951 until July 5, 1955. He married Barbara (Bobbie) Joan Neighbors on September 16, 1955 in Carlsbad, New Mexico. They came to Artesia in 1957.
Bob worked at Navajo Refinery for 35 years. He also owned and operated B & R Motors until retiring in 2018. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge and Artesia Elks Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Mary Louise Towsey, Virginia Baker, Iva Mae Coiner, and Phyllis Johnson, and a brother William Waugh.
Survivors include his wife Bobbie Waugh; a son Bruce Waugh; daughters Patti Beasley and husband Ronald, Shelly Alston and husband Jeff; grandchildren Shane Donaldson and fience Gabriella, Kienan Beasley and wife Megan, Whitney Waugh, and Cody Waugh; great-grandchildren Blaze Donaldson, Brooks Donaldson, Kamdyn Beasley, Maisyn Beasley, Stetson Donaldson. Bonus granddaughter Makenzie and bonus great granddaughters Aubry and Maddie.
