Services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, at Terpening Son Mortuary for former Artesia resident Robert M. Sudderth, Las Vegas, Nevada. Mr. Sudderth, 42, died Sunday, July 17, 2005 at his home. Rev. Joseph Tillery will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. No visitation or graveside services are planned. Robert was born June 22, 1963 in Andrews, Texas; the son of John A. Sudderth and Virginia A Bookster Sudderth. He was a 1981 graduate of Artesia High School where he was an honor student and was active in theater. He pursued his dream of being in the theater in New York and Boston for ten years and moved to Albuquerque in 1993. He resided in Las Vegas since 2000. He was a stage lighting technician and was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Artesia. He was preceded in death by his parents; and by grandparents Mack and Lenora Reasner; and grandmother Andy Elizabeth Sudderth. Survivors include brothers Randall Sudderth of Las Vegas and John L. Sudderth and wife Ann of Anchorage, Alaska; aunts Sue Lee and husband Ed of Artesia and Pat Garner of Ruidoso, N.M.; nephews Josh Sudderth of Houston, Texas and Sam Sudderth of Anchorage; and numerous cousins.
