Robert Powell

There will not be any services scheduled for Robert Terry Powell of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. Powell, 74, died July 3, 2018 at Casa Maria Nursing Facility in Roswell, N.M.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening & Son Mortuary.

Robert was born May 13, 1944 in McKinney, Texas, the son of Robert L. Powell and Leona B.(Freeman) Powell.

On December 18, 1980 he was married to Annetta Mayes in Artesia.

Robert was a Measurement Technician for TransWestern Pipeline and was employed with them for 42 years. He was of the baptist faith and a member of the Artesia Downtown Lions Club. He had a passion for hunting, fishing, and golfing.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife Annetta of the family home; son Michael Powell and wife Arren of Artesia; daughter Michelle Harris and husband Robbie of Las Cruces, N.M.; step-daughter Guyniece Ragland of Oklahoma; step-brothers John Stephen Wade and wife Lydia, and Alan Wade both of Washington; step-sister Diane Leist of Tucson, Arizona; cousin Jerry Powell and wife Carol of Arizona City, Arizona; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
