No local services are scheduled for Robert Lobster Bob Morse, R340 S. 13th St., Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Morse, 71, died Monday, April 24, 2006 at his home. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening Son Mortuary. Mr. Morse was born March 6, 1935 in Topsham, Maine; the son of Robert A. Morse Sr. and Sarah Schenck Morse. On June 17, 1955 he was married to Carolyn Clark in Carlsbad, N.M. He came to Artesia in 1981 from Freeport, Maine. He was a Roustabout Foreman for Yates Petroleum and was a lobsterman for many years in Maine. He was a member of the Church of Christ, former member of the Moose Lodge, and Carlsbad Radio Controlled Airplane Club. His hobbies included raising goats, chickens, ducks geese and rabbits. He has provided rabbits to many of the local 4-H and F.F.A. kids through the years. He also enjoyed woodworking and making jewelry especially bulldog necklaces and earrings. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Roberta Jean Beaudoin. Survivors include his wife Carolyn Morse of family home; sons Randall W. Morse and wife Deborah of Freeport, Maine, and Ronald A. Morse of Carlsbad; brother-in-law Steve Clark and wife Betty of Artesia; grandson Joshua Morse of Sangerville, Maine.
