Robert Goodloe

Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 PM, Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Harvest Fellowship for Robert Lee Goodloe of Artesia, New Mexico.

Robert "Rob" Lee Goodloe of Artesia, NM, a loving husband, dad, PopPop, and lover of all people, passed away on October 29, 2018 at the age of 60. He passed away as a result of injuries from a vehicle accident on October 16.

Ronnie Williams of Harvest Fellowship will officiate the service.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening & Son Mortuary.

Rob was born on May 4, 1958 in Lubbock, TX to Jack and Lucille Goodloe. He graduated from Goddard High School in Roswell, NM in 1976. He spent his childhood years working with his dad on a large hog farm of north of Roswell. He was very involved in 4-H and earned Reserve Grand Champion for his steer at the age of 12. He was also active in FFA throughout high school.

Rob married his wife Bobbie on May 1, 1982 and together they raised three amazing children that he could not have been more proud of. However, the true pride and joy of his life were his seven grand-children.

After working on the farm and then as a Detention Officer at the Chaves County Detention Center, Rob could no longer ignore his entrepreneurial spirit. In the early 1990's he launched Rob's Home Delivery, where he was the local "milkman" and delivered milk and other groceries door to door. In 2005, he took his passion for customer service with him from Roswell to Artesia and began his career in appliance repair for Terry Maupin as Mr. Appliance. Later, in 2009, Rob opened his own appliance repair business as Running Wrench and began serving the Eddy county area. Rob considered his job an opportunity and a blessing. He recently said, "In my job I am blessed to get to go into the homes of the broken, or at least a broken appliance, and sometimes more. I get the opportunity to witness to others, speak into their lives and never miss an opportunity to tell them how much God loves them."

Rob's church home was Harvest Fellowship in Artesia. He was very active in Kairos Prison Ministry and was eager to share his talk "Changing Our World" at the Walk to Emmaus that was to start just two days after his accident. Rob truly felt that being blessed with his career choice was his opportunity to minister to others, and he hoped to change their world.

Rob was preceded in death by his father, Jack Goodloe and his step-father Dick Edwards.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years Bobbie; his children Michael (Jennifer) Goodloe, Brianna (Kevin) Lohse and Dillon (Tiffany) Goodloe; grandchildren Katelyn & Karli Clarkston, Ryan Goodloe, Tamryn Lohse and Tayler, Madilyn and Ryleigh Goodloe; his mother Lucille Agee-Cox (Carl); siblings Christi Bellino, Jim (Midori) Goodloe, Lee Goodloe and Jeannie Goodloe; step-mother Rhoda Coakley; and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.

In lieu of gifts or flowers the family requests donations be made to the "Twelve Stones Project" at Harvest Fellowship Church at 2307 W. Main, Artesia, NM 88210.
