A viewing for Roberto R. Baeza Sr, of Artesia, New Mexico, will be held from 2:00 to 6:00 pm on Monday, February 5. A rosary is scheduled for 9:30 am on Tuesday, February 6, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church with the funeral service to immediately follow. Fr. Baltazar. will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery.
Mr. Baeza, 72, died Monday, January 29, 2024, at Lakeview Christian Home in Carlsbad New Mexico.
Pallbearers will be Benjamin Herrera, Gucci Lopez, Luchiano Lopez, Oscar Baeza, Jacob Aguilar, and Jarrod Aguilar.Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren Anthony Baeza, Jewllysa Baeza, Mikkel Baeza, Vannesa Baeza, Robert (Andres) Baeza III, Alonzo (Oso) Baeza and Iris Losoya.
Roberto was born September 18, 1951, in Artesia, New Mexico the Son of Marcelo Baeza and Petra Rodriguez. He was a lifelong Artesia resident.
On January 26, 1971, he was married to Juanita (Jane) Herrera. in Artesia.
He was a farmer for Emo Bach Farms and a member of Our lady of Grace Catholic Church. Roberto also loved to spend time with his family, friends, and grandchildren. Roberto was also a die-hard Dallas Cowboys Fan
Roberto was preceded in death by his parent's brothers Fidel Baeza, and sisters Julia DeLaRosa and Juana Renteria.
Survivors include son Robert H. Baeza Jr and wife Sonia of Artesia brothers Isidero Baeza and wife Jackie, Manuel Baeza. Louie Baeza, all from California and sisters Margaret and Ramona Rodriguez, Consuelo Olivarez, Felfida Moreno, Ofelia Solis and husband Clarence all from California. 7 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
