Graveside services are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, at Woodbine Cemetery for Rickie Owens of Loco Hills, New Mexico.
Rickie, 63, passed away Sunday, September 9, 2012 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas.
Belton Mathews will officiate at the services.
Rickie was born July 7, 1949 in Artesia, New Mexico the son of Archie Tidwell and Teet Bratcher Tidwell. He moved to Loco Hills in 1965 from Albuquerque, New Mexico.
He worked as a heavy equipment operator in oilfield construction for 48 years. Rickie was an avid motorcyclist and loved riding his Harley. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and devoting time to family and friends.
Rickie was preceded in death by his mother Velma Teet Tidwell and son Rickie Don Owens.
Survivors include his daughter Crystal Martin and husband Cody of Artesia son Cory Owens and wife Kodi of Artesia sisters Linda Beadle and husband Barry of Artesia, and Brenda Brintle and husband Rick of Artesia, Karla Owens and husband J. of Temple, Texas, and Vickie Davis of Troy, Texas brother Lee Owens and wife Camille of Carlsbad, N.M. 7 grandchildren Logan Owens, Bethany Owens, Bailey Owens, Caleb Martin, Cameron Martin, Kelley and Dustin Harlow greatgrandson Bentley Cady father Archie Tidwell of Artesia and stepdaughter Shan Harlow and husband Jeff of Artesia longtime companion Cheryl Scrimshire.
