Richard Havens

Graveside services are scheduled at 10:00 A.M. Monday, September 12, at Pinon Cemetery in Pinon, N.M., for Richard Allen Havens, Pinon, New Mexico. Mr. Havens, 74, died Friday, September 9, 2005 in Artesia. Wayne Bedingfield will officiate at the services. Pallbearers will be his nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be his neighbors James Owen Copeland, Brian Prather, David Munson, Hunter Smith, and Irvin Porter. Mr. Havens was born December 8, 1930 in Roswell, New Mexico; the son of Marion Monroe Havens and Eula Priest Havens. He was a lifelong resident of the Pinon and Artesia area. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a Rancher. Survivors include sister Barbara Bedingfield of Artesia; brothers James Havens of Pinon, and Buddy Havens of Colorado City, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
