Richard Billings

Memorial services will be held at a later date for Richard Dick Billings, 30 SKP Ranch Road, Lakewood, New Mexico. Mr. Billings, 78, died Saturday, April 4, 2009 at Artesia General Hospital in Artesia, New Mexico. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening Son Mortuary. Mr. Billings was born March 8, 1931 in Long Beach, California; the son of Irvin Billings and Lucy Fleming Billings. On June 30, 1984 he was married to Lucile Nichols in Cheney, Washington. He came to Artesia in 2000 from Washington. He was a HVAC Mechanic and member the Escapees R.V. Club, he and Lucile spent the last 9 years traveling and living in their R.V. and made Lakewood their home. Survivors include his wife Lucile Billings of Lakewood; four daughters, a step-daughter, two step-sons, two brothers, fourteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
