Ricardo Gutierrez

Memorial service is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Monday, July 31 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Ricardo G. "Senior" Gutierrez of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. Gutierrez, 71, died Sunday, July 23, 2017, at San Pedro Nursing Facility.

Fr. Jorge Vargas will officiate at the services. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening & Son Mortuary. Pallbearers are Fernando Trujillo, Israel Trujillo, Ernesto Gutierrez, Richard Michael Gutierrez, Israel Gutierrez and Chad Hanway. Honorary pallbearers are Javier Gutierrez and Charlie Martinez.

A rosary will be held at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.

Ricardo was born July 16, 1946 in Artesia to Manuel Yeso Gutierrez and Beatrice (Garcia) Gutierrez. He was a long time Artesia resident.

Ricardo was a simply man of the Catholic faith and enjoyed nothing more than the opportunity to spend time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Ricardo is survived by his daughter Iyona Ramirez and husband David of Laredo, Texas; sons Ricardo Gutierrez, Jr. and wife Jennifer and Adrian Gutierrez and wife Jadian all of Artesia; sisters Nellie Gragido, Antonia Trujillo, and Maryanne Hanway all of Alamogordo, N.M.; brothers Ernest Gutierrez and Manuel Gutierrez Jr.; 8 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
