Rhonda Madrid

Services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 4, at Hermosa Drive Church of Christ for Rhonda Kay Madrid of Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Madrid, 40, died Saturday, February 28, 2009 at her home. Michael Joiner will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lance Wilbanks, Scott Wilbanks, Jason Wilbanks, Timmy Schneider, Glenn Mason, and Clay Mason. Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary Tuesday beginning at 11:00 a.m. Mrs. Madrid was born November 19, 1968 in Artesia, New Mexico; the daughter of Jerry Wilbanks and Beverly Mason Wilbanks. On May 16, 1987 she was married to Bryan Madrid in Artesia. She was a lifelong resident of Artesia and a member of the Hermosa Drive Church of Christ. Rhonda was a first grade elementary school teacher. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Geneva and Vernon Wilbanks; grandfather Bennie Mason; and father-in-law Manuel Madrid. Survivors include her husband Bryan Madrid of the family home; sons Bryan Madrid, Jr., and Dominic Madrid both of Artesia; parents Jerry and Beverly Wilbanks of Artesia; brother Kevin Wilbanks and wife Laurie of Artesia; sister Shanna Chaney and husband Tommy of Artesia; grandmothers Mildred Mason of Artesia, and Senieda Madrid of Artesia; mother-in-law Linda Madrid of Artesia; brothers-in-law Manuel Madrid, Jr. of Artesia, and Todd Madrid and wife Cindy of Artesia; and sister-in-law Katrina Madrid of Artesia.
