Services are scheduled at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Apr. 7, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Refujio Pizarro of Artesia, New Mexico.
Mr. Pizarro, 63, died Monday, April 4, 2011 at his sisters home in Artesia.
Fr. Paul Murtagh SS.CC. will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his family members.
Visitation will be at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church Wednesday beginning at 2:00 p.m. A rosary will be at Our lady of Grace Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
Mr. Pizarro was born October 8, 1947 in Sardinas, Durango, Mexico the son of Bernardino Pizarro and Norberta Arredondo Pizarro.
On March 2, 1998 he was married to Clara Ramirez in Sardinas. He came to Artesia in 1968 from Mexico.
Refujio was a Roustabout and a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.
He was prededed in death by a sister Mariano Pizarro, and a granddaughter Nayari Ixchel Rodriguez.
Survivors include his wife Clara Pizarro of the family home his parents Bernardino and Norberta Pizarro of Mexico sons Bernardino Pizarro and wife Socorro of Greeley, CO, Jose Luis Pizarro of Greeley, Mario Ivan Pizarro of Artesia, Cesar Pizarro of Artesia, and Jorge Pizarro of Artesia daughters Socorro Pizarro of Mexico, Vangie Salsberry and husband Rodney of Artesia, and Margarita Pizarro and husband Matthew Rodriguez of Artesia brothers Joaquin Pizarro and wife Rita, Julio Pizarro and wife Sofia, Lucio Pizarro and wife Chole, Alvaro Pizarro and wife Gloria, Antonino Pizarro and wife Paty, and Lucas Pizarro and wife Sofia all of Mexico sisters Natividad Luevano and husband Eduardo of Artesia, Andrea Nayares of Artesia, Teresa Pizarro and husband Severiano of Mexico, Asencion Pizarro and husband Javier of Mexico, and Berni Gutierrez and husband Vicente of Artesia 19 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
