Reba Wooldridge

Services are scheduled for 10 am Saturday, June 5, at Terpening & Son Chapel for Reba Ruth York Wooldridge of Hope, New Mexico.

Reba passed away on May 31, 2021 after a lengthy illness.

She was born on May 4, 1935 to Emmett Wallace York and Pearl Elizabeth Hyman York. She is survived by her husband Truman Lynn Wooldridge; sisters Joyce Harless and Glenda Dunn; a brother Larry Don York and wife Phyllis as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Rosa E. Lewis, Jewel Opal Jimenez, Virginia I. Hood, Sylvia June Shan, and brother Carroll Eugene York.

She met her beloved husband in church and they were married December 26, 1962. Mrs. Wooldridge worked with her husband in his guitar shop where he was a professional guitar maker and he also taught guitar lessons. She worked as the Office Manager and Bookkeeper.

Mrs. Wooldridge was a member of the United Pentecostal Church, and a graduate of Artesia High School, Pecos Valley Christian College and Eastern New Mexico University in Roswell. She earned her degree in Computer Science, Psychology, and Accounting. She worked in many businesses as an office manager and full charge bookkeeper. She in addition had training as a nurse's aide and training in caring for Alzheimer's patients. She was an avid Genealogist for her mother's side and father's side of the family tree. She was a member of the Roswell Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), the Carlsbad DAR Chapter, the Mary Grigg DAR Chapter in Artesia, and Daughters of American Colonies. She was also a charter member of the Roswell Genealogy Society and the Artesia Genealogy Society.

Paul Hollandsworth, Gene Lewis and J.L. Lewis will conduct the services. Burial will follow at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Terry Jimenez, Larry Don York, Jr., Steve Harless, Tim Cole, TJ Whitaker, Tyler Whitaker, and Warren Huff. Visitation will be at Terpening & Son Mortuary from 2 pm to 6 pm on Friday.
