Raymundo Sanchez

Memorial mass and rosary services are scheduled at 9:00 a.m., Thursday, April 26, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Raymundo Sanchez of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. Sanchez, 72, died Monday, April 23, 2012 at his home.

Fr. Paul Murtagh SS.CC. will officiate at the services. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening Son Mortuary.

Raymundo was born May 12, 1939 in Loving, New Mexico the son of Ramon S. Sanchez and Catarina Carnero Sanchez. He came to Artesia in 1959 from Loving.

On January 14, 1972 he was married to Josefina Aguilar in Artesia.

Raymundo was an Insurance Salesman with American National Insurance Company for 41 years. He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, and a Cursillista.

He was preceded in death by his parents , his first wife Herminia Orosco Sanchez, a brother Roberto Sanchez and a grandson Davian Garcia.

Survivors include his wife Josefina A. Sanchez of the family home daughters Rebecca Sanchez married to Phil Sanchez of Albuquerque,N.M., Lisa Catano married to Steve Catano of Artesia, and Sarah Sanchez of Aurora, Colorado sons Ricardo Sanchez of Ruidoso, N.M., Ruben Sanchez of Artesia, Ramon Cheater Sanchez of Los Lunas, N.M., and Steven Sanchez married to Tawnya Sanchez of Las Cruces, N.M. sisters Ramona Paez of Carlsbad, N.M., Rosa Mikkelson of Ione, California, Rosenda Marrufo of Wink, Texas, Rachel Hinojos of Carlsbad, and Rita Avitia of Loving brothers Rodulfo Sanchez of Carlsbad, Ricardo Sanchez of Carlsbad, and Raul Sanchez of Farmington, N.M. granchildren Dynette Garcia, Adrianna Sanchez, Ricky Ray Sanchez, Raymundo Sanchez all of Bloomfield, N.M.
