Services are scheduled at 10 a.m. Friday, July 18, at Hermosa Drive Baptist Church for Raymond Hall Goodrich of Artesia, New Mexico.
There will also be visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 17, at Terpening and Son Mortuary.
Mr. Goodrich, 93, died Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Heartland Nursing Center in Artesia.
Gavin Vaughn will officiate at the services with burial at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be John M. Goodrich, Lance Goodrich, Eddie Goodrich, Gene Simer, George Chumbley and William Propsner. Honorary Pallbearers are Virgil Johnson, Jason Frame, Victor Rodriguez, John Dowell, Jimmie Don Graham and Preston Kelley.
Raymond was born January 22, 1921 in Calhoun, Missouri the son of Orrin Goodrich and Jewell Hardin Goodrich. He came to Artesia in 1968 from Goldsmith, TX and lived here until 1990, when he moved to Kansas City, Missouri. He returned to Artesia in 2011.
On August 20, 1940 he was married to Helen Anders. She preceded him in death on August 31, 1989. In 1990 he was married to Fern Melloy. She preceded him in death in 2010.
He served in the United States Navy during World War II.
Raymond was a pumper for Depco for 30 years. He was a member of Hermosa Drive Baptist Church and enjoyed repairing clocks.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and 2 sisters.
Survivors include his son Joe Goodrich and wife Betty of Artesia sisters Roxie Gregory of Clinton, Missouri and Mary Justis of Clinton, Missouri grandchildren John Mark Goodrich and wife Lisa of El Paso, TX, and Lance Goodrich and wife Robin of Artesia greatgrandchildren Tharen, Brogen and Kathryn Goodrich.
