Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 1 at the Hagerman Cemetery for Raymond Thomas Bledsoe.
Mr. Bledsoe, 76, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2012 at the Willow Care Nursing Home in Willow Springs, Missouri.
Visitation will be at Terpening Son Wednesday beginning at 12:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Neal Bledsoe, Allen Bledsoe, Jeremy Bledsoe, Bill Mike Hefner, Don Bogle, and Charles Ford. Honorary pallbearers will be Jake Bledsoe, Justin Bledsoe, Joe Bogle, Jay Hefner, Lewis Hicks, Charles Hendrickson, and Ryan Bledsoe.
He was born on March 27, 1935 in Greenfield, New Mexico to Tommy and Dreta Williams Bledsoe.
Raymond was united in marriage to Barbara Ann Hicks in 1958 and three sons were born of this union: Todd Bledsoe, Ted Bledsoe, and Nolan Bledsoe.
Raymond enjoyed the ranching life and spent countless hours among cattle and horseback. He lived in Missouri for fourteen years and owned and operated a custom fertilizer spreading business. He enjoyed doing business and helping farmers in the community. Many hours were spent at horse related activities, such as horse shows and rodeos with his family. Raymond retired in September of 2010 from Bogle Ranches in Dexter, where he had worked for 25 years. Growing up, Raymond showed livestock with his brothers in 4H shows and fairs. He loved to hunt in the foothills of the Guadalupe mountains with his father and brothers alike.
Raymond is survived by: three sons, Todd Bledsoe and wife Sandra of Cabool, Missouri Ted Bledsoe and wife Venita of Felton, Delaware and Nolan Bledsoe of Canyon, Texas. Four grandchildren: Allie Bledsoe of Cabool, Missouri Shelby Bledsoe of Dover, Delaware and Sayer and Sage Bledsoe of Canyon, Texas. He is also survived by: three brothers, Don Bledsoe and wife Betty of Irving, Texas Tommy Bledsoe and wife Georgia of Artesia, New Mexico and Ross Bledsoe and wife Val of Artesia, New Mexico two sisters, Dot Ford of T or C, New Mexico and Peggy Hefner and husband Bill of Kermit, Texas. Raymond had many nieces and nephews whom he enjoyed. He was known to them simply as Uncle Bud.
Raymond was preceded in death by: his parents, Tommy and Dreta Bledsoe of Hagerman, New Mexico also, sisters Wanda Lee and Carolyn Sue who passed at an early age.
