Ray Havens

A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 18, at former Hermosa Drive Church of Christ, 1302 W. Hermosa Drive, for Ray Dale Havens of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. Havens, 48, beloved Father, was called to his eternal resting place on August 15, 2018 in Artesia.

Ryan Harvey will officiate at the service. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening & Son Mortuary.

Ray Dale entered this world on October 6, 1969 in Alamogordo, NM, born to Patsy (Patterson) Box and Buddy Havens.

He was a longtime Artesia resident. Ray Dale was a passionate, loyal, kind hearted soul. He loved laughing with his family, two stepping to a song no matter where he was, teaching his juniors to hunt, and bucking broncs. He was truly an unforgettable man.

Ray Dale was preceded in death by his grandparents.

He is survived by his daughters Marenna Havens and Kaelee Havens; grandson Kohlson Hall; mother Patsy Box and husband Daymond; father Buddy Havens and wife Mary; sisters Ranae Blackerby and husband Greg and Rhonda Desrosiers and husband Ken; brother Wesley Havens; step-sister Chrissy Ward; step-brother Stevie Ward; and numerous nieces and nephews.
