Raul Ramirez

Graveside services are scheduled at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 12, at Woodbine Cemetery for Raul D. Ramirez of Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Ramirez, 82, died Saturday, August 8, 2009 at Artesia Good Samaritan Center. Rev. Manuel Carrera will officiate at the services. Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary Tuesday beginning at 10:00 a.m. A prayer service will be at Terpening Son Chapel Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. Mr. Ramirez was born April 4, 1927 in Fashing, Texas; the son of Jose Ramirez and Refugia Davila Ramirez. He came to Artesia in 1992 from Seminole, Texas. Raul was a Farm Laborer and a member of Spanish Assembly of God Church of Artesia. Raul was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Olivia Orrosco, and Maximina; brothers Abel Villareal, and Victor Bueno. Survivors include his son Alejandro Ramirez of Floresville, Texas; brother David Ramirez and wife Trina of Artesia; sisters Taniz Villareal of Seminole, and Jovita Reyes of Las Cruces, N.M.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
