Ramona Acosta

Funeral services for Ramona Acosta of Artesia, New Mexico, will be on Wednesday December 2, at First Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. Mrs. Acosta took the hand of God on November 29, 2009. Rev. Rick Sullivan will officiate at the services with burial at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Jack Butler, Steve Clark, Bill Greenhaw, Jimmy Joseph, Bruce Lanier, Ken Simons, and Darwin Thompson. Honorary pallbearers will be Elwood Carpenter, John Yates Jr., Adult 5 Sunday School Class, family members Edgar Guerrero, David Gurrola, Samuel Lopez, and Elias Lopez. Mrs. Acosta was born September 26, 1954 in Delecias, Mexico. On November 21, 1972 she was married to Merejildo Acosta in Artesia, NM. She was a caregiver and member of First Baptist Church, attended Cosmotology School in Mexico, member of the quilting group at First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter Monica Acosta. Survivors include her husband Merejildo Acosta of the family home; sons J. Isaac Acosta of Artesia, and Jeremy Acosta of Lubbock, Texas; sister Romelia Ramirez-Lopez and husband Daniel of Juarez, Mexico; brother Ray Ramirez of Juarez; many nieces and nephews.
