Ramon Rodriguez Sr.

Services are scheduled at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 23, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Ramon Garcia Rodriguez, Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. Rodriguez, 65, died Wednesday, December 18, 2013 in Artesia.

Deacon Pablo Merjil will officiate at the services. Cremation will be under direction of Terpening Son Mortuary. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren.

A rosary is also scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Sunday at Our Lady of Grace Church.

Ramon was born January 7, 1948 in Pecos, Texas the son of Simon Rodriguez and Louisa Garcia Rodriguez. He came to Artesia in 1964 from Pecos, Texas.

On July 23, 1966 he was married to Margaret Garcia in Artesia.

He was a tool pusher in the oil field and a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. He adored his wife, found great joy in his children, loved his grandchildren and taking them on little walks, was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, and attended Victory Life Fellowship.

Survivors include his wife Margaret Rodriguez of Artesia mother Louisa Ortega of Pecos, Texas sons Ramon Rodriguez Jr. and wife Christina of Artesia, and Robert Rodriguez and wife Lisa of Artesia daughter Judy Orosco and husband Richard of Artesia brother David Rodriguez of Phoenix, Arizona sister Terri Boneo of Phoenix 9 grandchildren Anastacia Rodriguez, Amber Rodriguez, Alyssa Rodriguez, Alexis Orosco, Donovan Orosco, Alayna Orosco, Haley Rodriguez, Robert Rodriguez Jr., and Jenessa Rodriguez 2 greatgrandchildren Gionni and Zayden.
