Services are scheduled at 10 a.m. Friday, July 24, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Ralph Allen Moore of Roswell, New Mexico.
Mr. Moore, 40, died Friday, July 17, 2015 at his home.
Fr. Martin Cornejo will officiate at the services with burial at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. A Rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m. Pallbearers will be Miguel Gonzales, Kenneth Herrera, Michael Chavarria, Michael Pitts, Samuel Van Atta and Shane Baker. Honorary Pallbearers are Richard Martinez, Mark Rhein, and all law enforcement colleagues of Southeastern New Mexico.
Visitation at Terpening & Son Mortuary will be Thursday from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Ralph was born on November 28, 1974, to Glenda Humphrey's. He grew up in Artesia and was a 1993 graduate of Artesia High School.
Ralph's dream was to be in law enforcement. He started his career with the Artesia Police Department as a jailer. He became a certified officer in 1997. He first served his community as a patrolman with the Artesia PD. After leaving Artesia he continued his career in serving with the Eddy County Sheriffs Office. He also served with the Chaves County Sheriffs Office, the Fifth Judicial District Attorney's Office and lastly with the Eastern New Mexico University Campus Police Department in Portales, N.M.
In recent years he suffered several medical challenges that prevented his return to law enforcement. He was successfully treated and was making a steady recovery from his illness at the time of his passing.
Ralph is survived by his wife Lisa Yearwood of Roswell. His mother, Glenda West, brother RC Moore, grandfather George Humphrey's, his niece Rory Moore and his nephews Jonathan and Zephrey Bernal of Artesia.
He is preceded in death by his beloved sister Amy Bernal, his pop Lonnie West and his grandmother Dorothy (Granny) Powell.
