Ralph Lewis

Services are scheduled at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, December 16, at Trinity Temple Assembly of God for Ralph Munroe Lewis, 1005 W. Grand Ave., Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Lewis, 59, died Monday, December 13, 2004 at his home. Pastor Bobby Argo and Rev. Jim Darnell will officiate at the services with burial at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Jessie Craig, Rob Bullock, Daniel Lewis, Anthony Lewis, Valentin Palomares, and Justin Mahan. Honorary pallbearers will be Roy Dow, Scott Lewis, Sam Keikkala and Johnny Dew. Mr. Lewis was born September 11, 1945 in Carrizozo, New Mexico; the son of Brooks Lewis and Esther Dow Lewis. He came to Artesia in 1958 from Dumas,Texas and served in the Navy during Vietnam. On May 19, 1978 he was married to Connie Jo Dew in Lake Arthur, N.M. He owned and operated Artesia Answering Service Radio Dispatch. He was a member of Trinity Temple Assembly of God and was a very special man that had a tremendous impact on every life he touched. Everyone who knows him understands this loss. He will be greatly missed. Mr. Lewis was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife Connie Jo Lewis of the family home; sons Dennis Lewis of Alicante, Spain, Daniel Lewis, Andrew Lewis, and Anthony Lewis all of Artesia; daughters Susan Elaine Palomares of Artesia and Sheila Mahan of Las Cruces, N.M.; a brother Scott Lewis of Santa Fe, N.M.; a sister Sally Keikkala of El Paso, Texas; an uncle Roy Dow of Carrizozo; and grandchildren Helen Lewis, Val Palomares, Tony Lewis, Jamey Palomares, Darian Mahan, and Canaan Mahan.
