Graveside services are scheduled at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 3, at Twin Oaks Memorial Park for Rachel Barron, 910 S. 6th St., Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Barron, 88, died Saturday, March 30, 2002 at her home. Rev. Walt Isaacs will officiate at the services. Pallbearers will be Johnny Crouch, Justin Troublefield, Quentin Barron, James E. Wallace, Trampas Spence, Sam Bean, Mickey Bean and Dale Bean. Mrs. Barron was born September 28, 1913 in Hill County, Texas; the daughter of Jackson Philander Wallace and Sarah Ollie Myers Wallace. She came to Artesia in 1942 from Clovis, N.M. On November 18, 1947 she was married to Hugh W. Barron in Carlsbad, N.M. He preceded her in death March 6, 1996. She was a housewife and member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by three brothers; five sisters; a daughterinlaw Nancy Barron; and a grandson David Carlile. Survivors include a son Ronald F. Barron and wife Mary Lea of Artesia; a daughter Karla R. Molyneaux and husband Mike of Artesia; a brother Quincy Wallace of Artesia; a sister Monet Bean of Artesia; grandchildren Suzanne Barron of Artesia, Quentin Barron of Carlsbad, Johnny Crouch of Lubbock, Texas and Vicki Spence of Artesia; and greatgrandchildren Justin Troublefield and Lindsey Spence of Artesia and Dallas Crouch, Delany Crouch and Jacey Crouch of Lubbock.
