R. Wright

No services are scheduled for R. D. Wright, 108 Osborn Ave., Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Wright, 82, died Friday, December 23, 2005 at his home. Cremation has taken place under direction of Terpening Son Mortuary. Mr. Wright was born June 11, 1923 in Graham, Texas; the son of Raymond D. Wright and Opal Scarborough Wright. He came to Artesia in 1932 from Texas. He was married to Betty Washburn in July, 1945 in Carlsbad, N.M. She preceded him death in 1976. On Oct. 14, 1976 he was married to Belle Patterson in Artesia, NM. She preceded him in death Nov. 1, 2003. He was employed at Navajo Refinery and member of West Main Baptist Church. Survivors include son Clay Wright of Artesia; daughter Shelly Hancock of Watts, Oklahoma; and grandchildren April and Heather.
