Peter Ruiz

Services are scheduled at 9:30 am. Thursday, August 7, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Peter Ruiz, 707 W. Dallas Ave., Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Ruiz, 24, died Sunday, August 3, 2008 at University Hospital in Lubbock, Texas. Burial will be at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joe Vargas, Phillip Vargas, Pedro Vargas, Jesse Guerrero, Mercede Flores and Moses Corza. A rosary is also scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Grace Church. Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary beginning at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Mr. Ruiz was born May 5, 1984 in Roswell, New Mexico; the son of Lino Ruiz and Margarita Vargas Ruiz. He was a lifelong resident of Artesia. He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church He was preceded in death by a brother Lino Ruiz Jr. Survivors include his parents Lino and Margarita Ruiz of Artesia; sister Roxanna Ruiz and husband Moses Corza of Artesia; grandparents Ben and Juana Vargas of Artesia; nephew Fabian Corza.
