Services are scheduled at 9:30 A.M. Wednesday, December 14, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Pete Cabezuela Martinez, 241 E. Compress Rd., Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Martinez, 63, died Saturday, December 10, 2005 at his home. Fr. Paul Murtagh SSCC. and Deacon Pablo Merjil will officiate at the services. Burial will follow at Twin Oaks Memorial Park with Military Honors. Pallbearers will be his God sons and nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be all other nephews. A rosary is also scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday Our Lady of Grace Church NO LIMO Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary beginning at 10 a.m. Tuesday Mr. Martinez was born February 23, 1942 in Barancos de Guadalupe, Mexico; the son of Pedro P. Martinez and Manuela Cabezuela Martinez. On Jan. 1, 1970 he was married to Angelina Navarrette in Artesia. He was a lifelong resident of Artesia. He served in the Army. He was a roustabout and member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his father and a sister Elvira Sanchez. Survivors include his wife Angelina Martinez of the family home; mother Manuela Martinez of Artesia; son Pedro N. Martinez III of Ft. Riley, Kansas; daughters Veronica M. Montoya of Artesia, and Sandra M. Hernandez of El Paso, Texas; brothers Chindo Martinez of Artesia, and Sammy Martinez of Artesia; sisters Manuela Gonzales of Artesia, Lilia Martinez of Artesia, and Grace Armendariz of Artesia; 5 grandchildren Santiago Alonzo Hernandez, Samantha Maria Hernandez Adrian Elias Hernandez, Carlos Daniel Montoya, and Timothy Albert Montoya.
