Perfecto Renteria

Services are scheduled at 9:30 a.m. Monday, December 29, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Perfecto Salcido Renteria of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. Renteria, 78, died Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at his home.

Fr. Martin Cornejo O.F.M. will officiate at the services with burial at Valle Nuevo Cemeterio in Ojinaga, Chihuahua Mexico. Pallbearers will be his sons.

Visitation will be at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church Sunday beginning at 2:00 p.m. A rosary will be at Our Lady of Grace Sunday at 6:30 p.m.

Perfecto was born November 30, 1936 in Ojinaga, Chihuahua Mexico the son of Celso Renteria and Paula Salcido Renteria.

On April 12, 1958 he was married to Esperanza Jimenez in Mexico. She preceded him in death July 4, 1993. Perfecto then moved to Artesia in 1993 from Mexico. He was also preceded in death by his parents son Samuel Renteria five sisters and two brothers.

Perfecto worked as a farm laborer. He enjoyed playing the guitar, taking care of his goats, and loved gardening.

Survivors include his daughters Luz Elda Renteria of Monahans, Texas, Aracely Baeza and husband Eusebio of Ojinaga, Mexico, and Luzmila Leyva and husband Alfonso of Artesia sons Leony Renteria of Artesia, Perfecto Renteria, Jr. and wife Norma of Artesia, Eloy Renteria and wife Maria Guadalupe Guzman of Ojinaga, Jesus Renteria and wife Ofelia Gonzalez of Ojinaga, Omero Renteria and wife Brenda of Artesia, Omar Renteria and wife Zenaida of Artesia, and Rogelio Renteria and wife Sanjuana of Artesia 35 grandchildren 17 greatgrandchildren and a sister Lucia Renteria of Ojinaga.
