Penny Hoover

A memorial service for Penny Hoover is scheduled at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 2, at Terpening & Son Mortuary Chapel.

Mrs. Hoover, 67, died June 29, 2016 in Lubbock, Texas.

Penny was born December 30, 1948 in Florence, Arizona; the daughter of Luther Mayfield and Lorean Tayrien. On August 15, 1966, she was married to Tommy Hoover in Willcox, Arizona. They moved to Artesia, N.M. in 1968 from Willcox.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church and an accountant for Mack Energy.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Gene Mayfield.

Survivors include her husband Tommy of the family home; a son Todd Hoover and his wife Angel of Uvalde, Texas; a daughter Kim Young and husband Shawn of The Woodlands, Texas; a brother T.J. Mayfield of Williams, Arizona; grandchildren Courtney and Morgan Young, Justin, Rylee, Britney and Bryan Hoover.
