Services are scheduled at 9:30 A.M. Thursday, October 7, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Pedro Cantu Trevino, Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Trevino, 81, died Monday, October 4, 2004 in Artesia. Father Richard Lifrak, SS.CC., will officate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Monroy Castillo, Jr., Joey Castillo, Manuel Castillo, Michael Calderon, Anthony Castillo, and Andrew Castillo. Honorary pallbearers will be Ramon Pina, Caroline Pina, Rosemary Atole, Lori Castillo, Matt Atole and all great-grandchildren. A rosary service is also planned for 6:30 P.M. Wednesday at Our Lady of Grace. Mr. Trevino was born September 12, 1923 in Salinas, Victoria, Mexico; the son of Eleuterio Trevino and Martina Cantu Trevino. On May 28, 1959 he was married to Isabelle Chavela Garcia in Reno, Nevada. He came to Artesia in August, 1998 from Pittsburg, Calif. He was a landscaper and gardener; and was member of Sociedad Guadalupe and Sociedad Maria Auxiliadora in Pittsburg. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter Refugia Cookie Trevino; and by a son-in-law Monroy Castillo, Sr. Survivors include his wife Isabelle Chavela Trevino of the family home; a daughter Mary Lou Castillo of Artesia; one brother and four sisters all of Monterey, Mexico; grandchildren Monroy Castillo, Jr. and wife Lori, Caroline Pina and husband Ramon, Joey Castillo, and Rosemary Calderon and husband Michael all of Artesia, and Manuel Castillo and Yuri Leva of Las Cruces, N.M. and great-grandchildren Anthony, Andrew, Angelica, Adelina, Keoma, Abby Joe, Matt Lee, Alex, Michael, Mikahaela, Erika, Gabriella and Reina.
