Funeral services are slated to begin at 9:00 AM Saturday, April 09, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Artesia, NM, for Pedro A. Lopez. Rosary will be followed immediately by mass services.
Pedro A. Lopez Jr. 60, died on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at his home in Artesia, New Mexico.
Paster Martin Cornejo will officiate the services with burial at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be all the grandchildren: Juan Carlos Martinez, Ricardo Lopez, Shabriel Lopez, Fabian Hernandez, Jacobi Lopez, Alejandro Lopez, Pablo Angel Lopez, John Marrujo, Desirae Lopez, Carleigh Marrujo, Epolito Antonio Lopez, Nyssa Lopez, Samuel Lopez, and Markus Lopez.
Pedro was born May 30, 1955 in Artesia, New Mexico to Pedro Campos Lopez Sr. and Herminia Alvarado Lopez. He earned a Vocational degree in Welding from the Dona Branch of New Mexico State University. Pedro was a sheep shearer and welder by trade in Artesia and the surrounding areas.
On September 1, 1975 he married Erma Perez Esquibel and had four children. Survivors include his children Pedro Pablo, Javier Jose Lopez, Israel Lopez, DeAnna Yvette Padilla, fourteen grandchildren and one great grandchild. His brothers and sisters include Arturo Lopez, Alonzo Lopez, Armando Lopez, Evangelina Lopez Anaya, Johnny Lopez, and Mario Lopez; and other sisters Delma & Betty Lopez.
He is proceeded in death by his father Pedro C. Lopez and mother Herminia A. Lopez.
The family wishes to sincerely thank all for the love, prayers and support. A special thanks to brothers Johnny and Armando Lopez, sister Evangelina, Delma and Manuel Moreno, Sabas Navidad, Bethy Contreras and multiple neighbors and friends for all the love and care to Pedro.
