Graveside services are scheduled for 10:30 am Saturday, August 7, at Twin Oaks Memorial Park for Pauline Roy Clifton of Artesia, New Mexico.
Mrs. Clifton, 84, died on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at her home in Artesia.
Jimmy Hamilton will officiate at the services.
Pauline was born on August 21, 1937 in Donna, Texas; the daughter of Toney Howard Vanderpool and Edna Roy Norwood Vanderpool. She married Claud Ray Clifton in 1954. He preceded her in death on March 29, 1995.
Pauline was a very active member of West Main Baptist Church. She loved gardening, reading, crocheting, being with her grandchildren and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. She was the first female mail carrier in Artesia, and worked for the post office for 25 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and two sisters.
Survivors include sons Jackie Clifton and wife Kathleen, and Claud Clifton and wife Debbie; daughter Toni Hamilton and husband Jimmy; grandchildren, who will serve as honorary pallbearers, Mysti Rae Moore, Jimmy Lee Hamilton Jr., Amber Renay Cochran, Bren Renee Clifton, Colby Ray Hamilton, and Michael Ray Clifton; great-grandchildren Ava Elizabeth Moore, Kolton Lee Hamilton, Kason Lynn Hamilton, Carter Ray Moore, Rylee Ray Clifton, Caylee Jae Clifton, and Caylissa Haven Cochran.
