Paula Brower

Services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Friday, at Terpening Son Mortuary for Paula Brower of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Brower, 78, died Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at her home.

Rev. Jean Riley will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Family members will serve as pallbearers. No public visitation is planned.

Paula was born December 5, 1931 in Artesia the daughter of Bert Shipp, Sr. and Anna Bruce Shipp.

On Dec. 12, 1952 she was married to Lawrence Brower in Artesia.

She had worked as a bookkeeper for W.W. Byers Accounting Firm, Brown Pipe and Supply, and Artesia Fire and Equipment. She was a member of First Christian Church and enjoyed all crafts especially painting, and her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and by a brother Jim Shipp.

Survivors include her husband Lawrence Brower of the family home sons Larry Brower and wife Annabeth of Fort Worth, Texas and Donald Brower of Austin, Texas a sister Nickie Shipp Oppermann of Midland, Texas a brother Bert Shipp, Jr. of Dallas grandchildren Chris Brower, Lawrence Brower, Brandon Brower, Crystal Knapp, Kelsey Weeks, and Joshua Brower greatgrandchildren Victoria Brower, Zoe Fewox and Kyler Fewox and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
