Paul Mcconnell

Memorial services are scheduled at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, July 27, at his home, for Paul Gracey Mac McConnell, Jr., 1404 S. 21st Street, Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. McConnell, 88, died Sunday, July 2, 2006 at his home. Rev. Michael Elliott will officiate at the services. Burial has taken place at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Mr. McConnell was born July 27, 1917 in Oak Park, Illinois; the son of Paul Gracey McConnell Sr. and Greta Eyler McConnell. On Aug. 17, 1940 he was married to Mary E. Reinagle in Oak Park, Illinois. He came to Artesia in Aug. 10, 1978 from Illinois. She preceded him in death April 14, 2006. He was also preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and two brothers. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He worked as a Shift Engineer at Commonwealth Edison and was a member of the Baptist denomination. Survivors include his sons Terry Lee McConnell of Artesia, and Randall Paul McConnell and wife Judy Mae of Artesia; daughter Rebecca Evadell McConnell of Artesia; sister Ruth Susan McConnell of Glendale, Arizona; grandchildren Tina Marie Lundberg and husband Brian of Columbia Heights, Minnesota, and Richard Paul McConnell of Hawaii; great-grandchildren Rebecca Joy Lundberg and Ashley Noel Lundberg both of Columbia Heights.
