Paul Hernandez

A rosary and mass are scheduled at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 3, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Paul B. Hernandez.

Mr. Hernandez, 73, died on December 28, 2016 in Artesia, N.M.

Burial will be at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family members.

Paul was born on July 19, 1943 in Artesia; the son of Pete Hernandez and Lola Balencia. He was a longtime Artesia resident and was a foreman for Giles Construction working at Navajo Refinery.

On August 1, 1964 he was married to Emma Bejarano in Artesia. She preceded him in death on December 1, 2001.

He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church and loved spending time with his family and grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Manuel and Benny Hernandez.

He is survived by his sons Paul B. Hernandez and Gary B. Hernandez; daughter Angela B. Hernandez; brothers Fred Hernandez, Arturo Hernandez, John Hernandez, Martin Hernandez, Joe Hernandez, Steve Hernandez, Frank Hernandez and Ramon Hernandez; sisters Nancy Contreras, Lucy Campos, Lupe Levario and Corina Hernandez, 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
